UNLOCKING NEW CREATIVE SPACES IN KOROROIT
Artists, creative organisations, and communities in Kororoit will have access to upgraded spaces to create and present their work, thanks to a Victorian Government program designed to improve and repurpose local facilities for creative use.
Member for Kororoit, Luba Grigorovitch MP today announced funding through the the latest round of the Creative Neighbourhood Infrastructure Support Program to the CS Gallery to create a more functional exhibition space for artists through the Melton City Council.
The grant program enables local councils to provide artists and creative practitioners with fit-for-purpose, accessible and secure facilities where they can develop their work and careers and opens up creative spaces for local communities across the state.
Melton City Council will improve the climate control and environmental monitoring at Caroline Springs Gallery to create a more functional exhibition space for artists.
A total of five local councils have received grants to undertake upgrade projects.
The Creative Neighbourhood Infrastructure Support grants are part of the Victorian Government’s $6 million Creative Spaces and Places program and are supported by the Community Support Fund.
